Over the past 2ish weeks 3 of 4 of my family members back home have had birthdays.. I have not necessarily been home sick, but each of those days I felt very far away. I have wanted to hug and kiss them and share in the celebrations. I did what I could.. Tried to call and say hi for a couple minutes. But having so much to talk about I never got the chance to really say how I felt about each one of them. So this blog is for you Family.

Danny, I love you. You are an amazing man and I am so proud to call you my big brother. You are strong and confident and I learn a lot from the way you handle yourself. You are well spoken and very opinionated  but seriously I have pictured the way you talk and have taken it as a role model for my public speaking. I miss your laugh and your jokes. I miss the serious conversations and the not so serious ones too. I would’ve let you win 9-holes of golf just because it was your birthday. I love you so much big brother.

Mom, my inspiration. Thank you for being my hear. You have wisdom and are my safe place. I love the way you are pursuing Jesus and I love the way He is revealing Himself to you. I love you so much – words can’t describe. I wish I could’ve been a part of you birthday routine. I miss those doughnuts!  I love you and miss you so much!

Micaela, when did you grow up? I am so proud of the woman you have become. Who are you? You are no longer the pesky little sister! You are a wise, kind, joyful, loving woman in whom I look up to. I miss you so much! You can brighten my day by the thought of who you are. I am in awe at the ways the Lord has used you in my life and in the lives of our family and friends. I love you like crazy best friend.

Dad, even though your birthday was in February I wanted to tell you also how much I love you. I am just so happy to be your daughter. Thank you for being the rock of this family. Thank you for instilling priceless attributes of my character. The way I think and work comes from your example. My work ethic would not be the same without your example of loyalty and perseverance. I often think about the 7 P’s when it comes to ministry on the race. That little nugget of knowledge has come in handy and prevented many a ministry disaster.  I love you so much and miss you a ton!
