I love deadlines. If you tell me something needs to be done by a certain date it will be done. It might get done the night before but none-the-less it gets done 🙂
So I am happy the World Race has financial deadlines for me to follow and make sure I am staying on pace to Launch in January!
My first deadline is September 26th – which means any checks should be mailed by September 12th and any online donations need to be submitted by the 23rd. I need $3500 raised by then ($1400 more than I have now!)
The most important thing for me to remember is that God is in control. I cannot work enough to be able to afford this trip, even though I am trying… I need to give up control of His money and let Him multiply it. Let Him lead people to invest in my mission and to come along side and support and encourage me and my squad. His ways are better than my ways and His plans are better than my plans. When God is in control there is no anxiety; no worries about tomorrow. There is nothing He cannot do and since He called me to the World Race I will not doubt that He can do this too.
