In Cambodia I have:
1. Went to the genocide museum
2. Painted and cleaned a church
3. Babysat for the missionaries
4. Slept in a tent…inside
5.sat and watched babies play at the palace
6. Had a girls night with the Kamai university students that we live with
7. held puppies!
8. done laundry that took 2 hours… oh the joys of bucket washing
9. SO much enjoyed discipling the university girls in the dorm, love my sisters
10. Held my hand millions of bills….. In reil (Cambodia money)
11. riding around in a tuk tuk not knowing where you are and the driver doesnt either
12. Went to the same Russian market that the TV show The amazing Race did a challenge in
13. seeing so many flattened rats on the road
14.watched people eat oysters on the side of the road like its their job (which their job was actually to sell them)
15. Eat at a cafe named Gateway(which is our team name) and get incredible discounts and service… they even have movie nights for us!
16. heard about 4 American soldiers getting wounded by bombs in the ground through a lady we help teach english who went to translate for these soldiers at the hospital
17.taught english in a village
18. danced with my little buddy who has downs
19. took joy in seeing a bunch of brown eyes staring at you saying"cha,cha" which is teacher in Cambodian
20. made the boutiniers for a wedding
21. celebrated the end of rice harvesting with a village wide party and dancing in the rice fields
22. Had a cup of Tim Hortons coffee… thank you Matt from Canada
23. had a cake fight with the university girls…..gross
24. went to Angkor Watt, one of the 7 wonders of the world
25. held puppies!
26. cried with the university students when having to leave
