At launch, we talked a lot about World Race culture, what is expected of us and what we can expect during this next year. Although those subjects were necessary to hear before launch on the Race, the most important word for me was “be strong, for you are fully equipped”!
Time and time again, the WR staff spoke words of life and encouragement, reminding us that God is for us and he has fully equipped us. The message that I don’t need to arrive, because I have already been approved was so important for me to hear.
How often I work towards being approved by others, often times I forget that I have been marked, sealed and approved by the King of Kings. This King of Kings is my Daddy, and He withholds no good thing from His children. Every beautiful, holy and pure thing is readily available in heaven, and Jesus told us to pray “On earth, as it is in Heaven.”
So why don’t I more often? Why don’t I expect earth to look like heaven more often? Why am I often compliant with sickness, pain, rejection and fear? Why do I not take a stand against these things and ask the kingdom of heaven to fall every day? Fear I suppose, or maybe simply being unaware. I want to change both of those things this year, I no longer want to fear and I no longer want to be unaware of the power of heaven on a daily basis. I want to cling to it, I want it to be my daily bread.
Today, Friday July 6th, we are flying out of Washington DC at eleven pm and landing in Doha, Qatar about twelve hours later. After that, it’s another flight to Calcutta, India where we have an eleven hour layover and from there we fly to Hydrabad, India. From Hydrabad, we will meet with our ministry host and take a bus or train down towards the coast of eastern India where will be doing ministry for the month.
It is going to be a long next few days of travel, please pray for rest for us and the ability to jump into ministry in India, we are so ready for it! Pray that heaven would fall in India, that the Lord would be giving us strength and wisdom for ministry and that the love of Jesus would be incredibly evident in everything we do!
