Forgive me for not writing sooner. A lot has been going on, and there is many blogs I have floating in my head. This one is especially important that you read right away.
The Philippines has been great. Although it is hot, it is beautiful. The people, the culture, the sunsets, and the landscape. All of it uniquely beautiful.
All this being said, our ministry has been…interesting. Our host is an American, he has been a missionary in Guatemala for many years. Because he has recently married a wonderful woman from the Philippines, he decided to start a ministry here is well. So my squad is the first, we are here to help kick start a new ministry. Because it was all so new, there has been so much dis organization, and a lot of time wasted.
We started out the month going into schools teaching lessons, and playing games with the kids. It turned into many dance parties, and kids wanting to take endless amounts of selfies. This left many of us feeling like there was a lack of purpose. It wasn’t until halfway through our time in the Philippines that we received news of the event we were going to perform.
So this is the plan, Saturday March 19th at 6:00 pm we are putting on a festival. It will be Saturday 4:00 am Central Time. It will take place in the plaza. This is the center of town. Where people gather and go to meet others. We are sharing the gospel, doing cultural dances, doing dramas, and sharing testimonies. We are ending the night with a choice. A choice for all the people. They can either keep going like they have been or they can choose to make a change and come to Christ.
This night is something we have been preparing hard for, and pouring lots of prayer into. We are praying for a miracle. To see people healed, to see God move, and to see many come to Christ. I have never had an opportunity like this before, to openly share the word of God in such a public place.
Please pray with us.
