For the past two years, I have been teaching in a low-income school in rural Mississippi. My experiences in Mississippi have taught me to love unconditionally and to trust in the Father and His everlasting peace in all situations. In addition to education, the Lord has also given me a heart for the nations, which I realized over the course of a dozen mission trips to Mexico between 2005 and 2011. It wasn’t until a mission trip to Cambodia last summer, however, that the Lord truly revealed my desire to fully serve the ‘least of these’.  Since then, I have been seeking opportunities to experience the world through the eyes of the Father, and He has led me to take a giant leap of faith and give up the comforts of the American life for His name-sake.

In January 2015, I will embark on the greatest journey of my life. I will be joining Adventures in Missions on the World Race, an 11-month journey to 11 different countries on three continents.   My team and I will be partnering with local churches and ministries to share the Gospel, plant churches, love on orphans, restore dignity in women and children trapped in sex-trafficking, and simply be the body of Christ to the nations. Not only is the World Race a mission trip, it will also require me to live in raw community with other believers and understand the meaning of true discipleship and dependence on the Lord.

I know that I will be faced with many challenges on the Race and I will need A LOT of prayer. One of the greatest challenges I will face before even stepping out of the U.S. is my financial support.  Like most missions organizations, World Race participants are required to raise financial support. In order to leave fully funded next January, I need to raise $16, 240. This money will cover all my expenses for my 11 months on the field! As I trust in the Lord’s provision, would you prayerfully consider supporting me with $100 monthly or some other amount?

It is very simply to make your donation online, just click on the “SUPPORT ME” link on the left hand side of my blog.  One-time gifts are also greatly appreciated!

Just as Isaiah was called in Isaiah 6:8, I have felt God asking, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” and my response is the same as Isaiah’s, “Here I am, Lord. Send me!” Thank you in advance for your prayers and financial support as I follow God’s leading and serve Him whole-heartedly. Please also subscribe my blog (alyssanobles.theworldrace.org) to follow my journey and receive updates!

May the Lord abundantly bless you as you prayerfully consider partnering with me!
