Sometimes I stop and ask, “how did I get here?” I am overwhelmed when I think about how God brought me to this point of being several months away from experiencing the world through His eyes. Next January, I will be leaving to go on the World Race, an 11 month missionary journey to 11 countries on 3 continents. (Learn more about the World Race here!) God opened the door through general curiosity last September. A few weeks later, I knew in my heart that I had to take advantage of the opportunity.
I am currently preparing for the World Race due in large part to…
needy orphans in Mexico,
eager school girls and boys in Costa Rica,
neglected and abused street kids in Cambodia,
and broken children in Mississippi.
The Lord has opened my eyes to needs around the world through these past experiences. He has given me a burden for His people of all skin colors, nationalities, and languages. He has called me to go and actively participate in the work He is doing across oceans.
In even more simple terms though, I am going on the World Race because of one word {LOVE}. Out of His overwhelming love, I am able to love others. Not by anything I have done or said, but because of the love He poured out through His son. That is how I got to this point and why I am ready to go on the most exciting yet scariest adventure of my life.

P.S. I will be sending out support letters THIS WEEK!
