UPDATE
I have reached my $10,000 deadline! Thank you Jesus!!! Thank you so much everyone for faithfully praying, and generously giving. Everything we’ve prayed for, God has provided! “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19). And I mean everything! Our God is faithful! When I left training camp in late August I had raised $5,765. From August 28th– September 22nd God provided $4,235, in order to reach the deadline. If it’s God’s will He will pay the bill. Also God provided Malaria Medication which was very expense in itself ($1,800) all I can say is Jehovah-Jireh, The LORD will provide! Never doubt His love and faithfulness!! “For God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.” (Romans 11:29). Trust God and have faith!
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:21)
Where is your treasure at? What have you put all your heart into? Place your life in Jesus, let Him live in you, and work through you. Have your mind set on things above where Christ is seated. Fix your eyes on Jesus. Let the LOVE of Christ fill you, and overflow in you. Deny and die to yourself in order that Jesus will live in you. Eat your daily bread of the Word of God. Do not neglect such a great salvation. Be like Jesus. Talk to Him, spend all your time in an intimate relationship with Him. Pursue Christ, because with His unfailing agape love He pursues you, to death on a cross, and the free gift of eternal life to all who believe. Follow the perfect example He set for us.
Philippians 3:7-14
7 But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in[a] Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. 10 I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.
12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Luke 9:57-62
The Cost of Following Jesus
57 As they were walking along the road, a man said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.” 58 Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” 59 He said to another man, “Follow me.” But he replied, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.” 60 Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.” 61 Still another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say goodbye to my family.” 62 Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”
Luke 10:17-20
17 The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.” 18 He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
Luke 14:25-27
25 Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said: 26 “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple. 27 And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.
Luke 14:33
33 In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples.
1 Peter 4:1-2
Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin. 2 As a result, they do not live the rest of their earthly lives for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God.
Acts 20:24
24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
God bless you all! You are the light of the world, because the Light lives in you. Go into the darkness and shine bright. Share and be the love of Christ!
