Tomorrow morning I fly to Atlanta and a few days after that our squad heads to Ecuador to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ!! This morning I had a wonderful coffee date with my brother and we were speaking truth, sharing what God has revealed to us and the calling on our lives. Let your conversations always be seasoned with salt, most importantly I write this blog guided by the Holy Spirit to speak truth, everyone who has ears to hear, HEAR!!! Once you have given your life to Christ you have passed from death to life, you know that you have eternal life and Jesus is your LORD and Savior. Now, right now look around you, lost souls all around you, all around the world, are on the wide and broad path leading to DEATH and DESTRUCTION. GOD has saved you, NOW speak life and “save others by snatching them from the fire” (Jude 1:23)
The tongue has the power of life and death (Proverbs 18:21)
Let your words speak life and truth. Share the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ, knowing that it isn’t you who speaks but the HOLY SPIRIT, who speaks through you.
When they saw the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and recognized that they had been with Jesus. And seeing the man who had been healed standing there with them, they had nothing to say in response. So they ordered them to leave the Sanhedrin and then conferred together.
“What shall we do with these men?” they asked. “It is clear to everyone living in Jerusalem that a remarkable miracle has occurred through them, and we cannot deny it. But to keep this message from spreading any further among the people, we must warn them to speak no more to anyone in this name.”
Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.
But Peter and John replied, “Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God’s sight to listen to you rather than God. For we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.” (Acts 4:13-20)
Silence and fear is from the enemy! Pray for boldness and God will give you boldness to speak and make known His Gospel. For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7). Fear does not come from God, therefore DO NOT FEAR! For Christ is with you and will speak through you! He has given us a spirit of POWER, LOVE, AND A SOUND MIND ( self-discipline, self-control (in other versions)) .
DO NOT BE SILENT! Speak! Tell this lost world of the HOPE of Jesus Christ!!
7They had Peter and John brought before them and began to question them: “By what power or what name did you do this?”
8Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: “Rulers and elders of the people! 9If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a man who was lame and are being asked how he was healed, 10then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11Jesus is “?‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’12Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:7-12)
The Message of HOPE
The Forgiveness of Sins and the Power of the Resurrection
22Men of Israel, listen to this message: Jesus of Nazareth was a man certified by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs, which God did among you through Him, as you yourselves know. 23He was handed over by God’s set plan and foreknowledge, and you, by the hands of the lawless, put Him to death by nailing Him to the cross. 24But God raised Him from the dead, releasing Him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for Him to be held in its clutches. 25David says about Him: ‘I saw the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. 26Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices, my body also will live in hope, 27because You will not abandon my soul to Hades, nor will You let Your Holy One see decay. 28You have made known to me the paths of life, You will fill me with joy in Your presence.’29Brothers, I can tell you with confidence that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. 30But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that He would place one of his descendants on his throne. 31Foreseeing this, David spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that He was not abandoned to Hades, nor did His body see decay. 32God has raised this Jesus to life, to which we are all witnesses. 33Exalted, then, to the right hand of God, He has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. 34For David did not ascend into heaven, but he himself says: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand, 35 until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.’ 36Therefore let all Israel know with certainty that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ!” 37When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and asked Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” 38Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39This promise belongs to you and to your children and to all who are far off, to all whom the Lord our God will call to Himself.” 40With many other words he testified, and he urged them, “Be saved from this corrupt generation.” 41Those who embraced his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to the believers that day. (ACTS 2:22-41)
What was spoken to have three thousand people give their lives to Christ? Truth was spoken, hope was spoken, and life was spoken!! How did Peter speak? By the Power of the Holy Spirit, this was the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came upon them and resided in them. (”They saw tongues like flames of a fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.” Acts 2:3-4)
“…And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:47)
You know the truth if you know Jesus, for Jesus is “the way, the truth and the life” (John 14:6)
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6who gave himself as a ransom for all people. (1 Timothy 2:1-6)
Make your life matter for what truly matters in life! Grow closer to Jesus every moment of everyday and let His love penetrate your hearts and minds. Love others as Jesus loves you! AGAPE LOVE!!
Thank you for all your PRAYERS and LOVE!
