Since being at Pan De Vida ministry, I’ve been able to paint and leave lasting murals on the wall to encourage those coming to Pan De Vida, kids and adults alike. It’s been amazing because they always say, “if you have an idea or want to do something, just do it!”. And they’ve told me that whatever and wherever I want to paint, I can, depending on the day and if we’re able to. I wrote a blog back in late December and it was on the subject of painting, the blog is called “ Not an Audible Voice, Not a Vision, But a Literal Sign (12/31/2015) . I asked the LORD if He wanted me to paint to fundraise or if He was going to open up the opportunity to get a job. I spent a while applying and going to a couple of job interviews, but it just wasn’t God’s will, His plan was for me to paint, and have the time to serve at my church in all aspects of ministry with different age groups. I spent from November- May painting pictures with scripture on it. And not only at the time was Jesus letting those paintings encourage others but even now at the ministry we are at, God is working through me!
God has uniquely given us all different abilities, talents, and gifts. The passions and desires He has given you, is different than the gifts He has given others, and that’s all for His divine purpose and good, pleasing and perfect will!
“For God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable” ( Romans 11:29)
“Each of you should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms” (1 Peter 4:10 NIV).
“Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful” (1 Corinthians 4:2 NIV).
Go out and use what God has given you, enjoy the process and see all the fruit which is produced from it, advance His Gospel. Bring glory to His name!
23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.(Colossians 3:23-24)
