As I was walking and talking with God, God pressed on my heart to write another blog.
“God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” (Numbers 23:19)
At training camp there was three different occasions where God gave a Word of Knowledge to two girls on my squad for me. The first was a couple days in and Hannah said, “God just wanted me to tell you, that He sees you”. A few days after that, she said to me again, “God wanted me to tell you that you’re not just a number, there’s an exclamation point over your head and He is excited to use you.” How great is a timely word! God always knows exactly what we need, when we need it!
So many times I’ve asked God if the WorldRace was really the next step for me, every single time I’ve asked and poured out my heart before the Lord, He has shown and reassured me that this is where He wants me; in accordance to His divine will and purpose for my life. All I want to do is share with the world the love and liberation which only Christ can bring. My life is not my own, I’ve been crucified with Christ; I’ve also been crucified to the world (Galatians 2:20, 6:14). All I want to do is walk in the path that God has paved for me, to love Him, and faithfully and humbly serve Him with all that I am!
Two days before we left training camp we did listening prayer. We asked God what He wanted the person next to us to know. We prayed that God would speak through us. Abby, who’s on my team, had a vision from God. She had said she saw me with my Bible opened, with light coming down from heaven. Around me was darkness, and then I would leave my spot and go into the darkness around me. When I left, that spot where I had been became light. Soon within the darkness there were spots of light where I had been. It was amazing to hear that because that light is the Gospel. God is light and it’s so wonderful because He is willing and wanting to use us to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ with those who are in darkness. “This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. “(1Timothy 2:3-6).
I then, knowing God was going to direct me, opened up my Bible unintentionally to Isaiah 60:1-3 (Which I had just read through 2 weeks prior)
“Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. “For behold, darkness will cover the earth And deep darkness the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you And His glory will appear upon you. “Nations will come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising”
September 16th is my next financial deadline. And I can either look at my fundraising bar and be anxious and believe the lie of the enemy that I won’t have $10,000 raised, but I won’t believe that, and I can’t believe that. I believe God, and everything God promises and says is truth. I therefore put my trust and hope in the God who will never fail me or let me down. I believe that God has already paid for this whole trip and has prepared and ordained this plan before the foundation of the world. I wholeheartedly trust God and what He has said about me, the purpose He has for me, and the promises He has made. He is truth and I believe what He has said.
“Vindicate me, Lord, for I have led a blameless life; I have trusted in the Lord and have not faltered. Test me, Lord, and try me, examine my heart and my mind; for I have always been mindful of your unfailing love and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness.” (Psalm 26:1-3)
“For we live by faith, not by sight.”
(2 Corinthians 5:7)
I love you all with the love of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8!
