I want to thank everyone deeply from the heart. Every one of you has been such a blessing and encouragement to me! I thank Jesus that you’re all a part of my life and that you’re all so involved step by step with me on this journey! Thank you for all your ceaseless prayers, your generous donations, your encouragements, and your endless love! You’re all such a blessing and answer to prayer! May God give me the ability to bless and serve you, just as you have blessed and served me!
Over the summer as you may know, I worked as an intern at Camp Bighorn. Once again God blew my mind on who He is and how He works in the lives of His children, and those who hunger for truth. A lot of growth this summer was from God teaching me how to love as He has loved us.
Now what is love? “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.8 Love never fails. “(1 Corinthians 13:4-8). Who is love? “…God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.” (1 John 4:16). What are we commanded to do? “?Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 22:37-39).
I grew a deep love for everyone at camp, seeing them for who they are, created by God for a wonderful purpose, and they are children of God. And no matter what role and job I had over the summer, I focused completely on serving Christ in whatever state I was in, loving God, people, and myself. And meditating and living in love. It’s powerful and it’s real.
After leaving camp, my brother and I were driving to get to the SeaTac airport in time for me to catch my flight to GA for WorldRace training camp. And about four hours into the seven hour drive, my brothers car started overheating and leaking antifreeze coolant (about half a gallon). So we pulled over, got out of the car and started praying over it. We started reading scripture and proclaiming Gods promises and truths over ourselves and over Troy’s car. And after about fifteen minutes, we started the car and it worked completely fine for the entire way back and has been working completely fine since. GOD SHOWS UP!! What He says is truth, what He says about us is true, and we proclaimed His truth! It also showed me once again, that this is truly where God wants me. And I have full faith to believe that He will provide all the money, and equip me in every way for this next step in my life.
At training camp I met my awesome squad!! Gap J!!! They are all on fire for Jesus and sharing the Gospel! They are all so amazing in so many different and unique ways, and I’m excited to see God work, in and through them all to show this lost and broken world His love.
Through these scriptures, God has been speaking to me a lot in the last 2 weeks, and I pray that they’ll speak to you as well!! 🙂
“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. Rescue me from my enemies, Lord, for I hide myself in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground. For your name’s sake, Lord, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.” (Psalm 143:8-11)
“Then I called on the name of the Lord: “Lord, save me!” The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion. The Lord protects the unwary; when I was brought low, he saved me.)”Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you. For you, Lord, have delivered me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living.I trusted in the Lord when I said, “I am greatly afflicted”; in my alarm I said, “Everyone is a liar.”What shall I return to the Lord for all his goodness to me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord. I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people.” (Psalm 116:4-14)
“Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever.” (Psalm 86:11-12)
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” (Psalm 32:8)
