As believers in Jesus Christ, and following as He has commanded and shown us to live, we have the confidence and the assurance that we’ll be with Jesus for all eternity when we pass from this short life.
The idea of eternity is absolutely mind blowing, it’s FOREVER. Now we will be with Jesus forever where there is love, joy, peace, no more pain, every tear wiped from our eyes. Now on the contrary think about all those who haven’t accepted Jesus, all those who are in need of hearing the Good News that God became man and took our sins upon Himself and died in our place. We all have the mission of telling the world of Jesus. Our minds must be fixed on an eternal mindset. Show Jesus by our actions; tell the world of Jesus, He is the reason we are alive and let us spend every moment of everyday drawing closer to our Father and telling everyone we see and know about His great love. “Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you…” (James 4:7-8).
We spend so much of our lives worrying about situations of finances, relationships, fixated on our own lives that we neglect the reason we exist. We are alive today because God has formed us and has purpose for our lives. We are meant to have a relationship with God, yet because our sins separate us from Him, we needed a Savior. That Savior is Jesus, now so many Christians neglect the duty to share their faith with others. Fear holds them back as well has the possibility of rejection, trust me I’ve been there, but not anymore. People need to hear the truth, pray that God will give you boldness to speak and make known the mystery of the Gospel. Because people who haven’t accepted Jesus are on the broad and wide path leading to death, there life and destination for all eternity is the place God prepared for the devil and his angels, not for man. “…Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” ( Matthew 25:41)
“This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people…” (1 Timothy 2:3-6).
This life is such a fragment of time, in comparison to eternity. We must be constantly seeing people, who God fearfully and wonderfully made, in need of Jesus. There would be absolutely no point in being alive right now if all to life was what meets the eye. Yet there’s something greater than ourselves, let us as followers of Christ share the hope we have with our friends, family, coworkers, peers, acquaintances, and everyone in between. We are not alive to make money, and acquire possessions. To go through all the struggles and hardships of life for no reason, we are here to have a relationship with God, love people and tell the world of Jesus. “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect” (1 Peter 3:15).
This life is so short; focus your mind, your thoughts, and everything on telling the whole world of the love of Jesus. Everything we are told to strive for in life to have success by the worlds standards is become wealthy, acquire a lot of materials, possessions, status, position, image, but it’s all PASSING!! What truly matters is what you’ve done and continue to do for Jesus.
“Lord, what are human beings that you care for them, mere mortals that you think of them? They are like a breath; their days are like a fleeting shadow.” (Psalm 144:3-4)
“Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” (James 4:13-15).
“Show me, Lord, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is. You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Everyone is but a breath, even those who seem secure.” (Psalm 39:4-5).
Now is the time to share.
