Isaiah 61:1-3
“The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.”
Jesus is truly the best! His love is so overwhelming. My cup truly overflows with all that Jesus is! God has been doing many mighty works in the villages we’ve been. As I mentioned before we were in the small village called Darchawi, in the state of Tripura (Northeast India). While their we built many relationships with the Hostal kids and teens. We got to teach them more about Jesus, pray for them, and love them. It was here that God spoke to me, that this is His calling for me.
The last night we were their I was having deep conversation with some of the ladies who are 10th graders. Relationships came up (as they always do) and one of the girls was really honest with me. She shared part of her testimony, how her ex-boyfriend really broke and crushed her heart. And how she attempted suicide to stop the pain. She told me she had a heavy burden on her shoulders. I explained to her that God tells us to cast our cares, to cast all our burdens onto Jesus because He loves us and cares for us. That God will take that heaviness away from her ( if you have a heaviness on your shoulders as well, know that Jesus says He will carry it for you) all you have to do is cast it on Him, give it all to Jesus. She voiced what she wanted to God, and that night she truly experienced freedom that the LORD will give!
At the moment we are in Haflong, in the state of Assom. It’s a bigger village and Bibles for the World is hosting a conference. I got to teach at the school for 2 days, and I taught the 10th graders the difference of knowing God in your head and knowing God in your heart. I knew God was going to move and do something big, because He sent me to this class with some of my friends, and gave me this topic right before we got their. Three students accepted Jesus into their hearts and lives! Praise God!! You see many villages we go to are Christian villages. Everyone says they’re Christian and grow up in the church, but many of them know Jesus, in their head. They have the knowledge of God, Jesus, scripture, songs. They know everything in their head, but God doesn’t want us to know HIm only in our head, He desires that we Know Him and love Him with all our heart. And that’s a heart change, that’s heart knowledge. Where it’s not a list of do’s and don’ts but rather a relationship with the God who loves us and gave His only Son Jesus for us! FREEDOM!
Not to mention, every single person we have been praying for has been healed of their diseases and hinderances. Literally everyone! God gives the Spirit without limit. That we literally have God living inside of us and that same power rose Jesus from the dead. Our infinite God lives within this finite body of ours. Truly know and truly believe that Jesus can do all things. That at the name of Jesus all things can and will happen. God is so good, so I really encourage you everywhere, pray and believe that Jesus can and will heal you ( physically, emotionally, spiritually). He loves you more than words can describe!
Also such exciting news, my team is going back to SAIPHAI!! This was the village we went to in our first month of being in India! Where we taught Jesus in the school and built such amazing relationships with the kids! By God’s grace and for His Purpose, we are going back, I’m going back!! I’m so excited ( pray for us!)
By the end of March, we will be heading to Zambia! It’s crazy, and God has been doing so many amazing works so far. But no matter where you are or what job you have, God can and will use you. IT’s your choice, ask God, obey God, pray for people everywhere, share Jesus with this world! Let nothing hinder you from sharing Jesus! JESUS is the WORD, we are HIS VOICE.
