We asked the Lord! He wanted us to start a street ministry so that's what we have been doing. Bolivia is the poorest country in South America. They seem to be the country that has been left behind. La Paz means peace but here you get a feeling completely opposite to that. There are a lot of homeless on the streets but they are a little different than the ones I come across at home. They are just little old women who need money for there families. They aren't looking to spend money on drugs or alcohol. These ladies are too cute to do any or maybe just good actors.
Our street ministry looked different for everyone. Some of us led worship in the plaza's and some went around talking to everyone. I wanted to just sit with the homeless ladies. It's kinda interesting. I really wonder what people think we are doing. It's pretty noticeable that we are Americans. I mean today I was walking around with my teammate, Nick, and let me just tell you what he was wearing. A hat from peru that's bright blue and red, a plaid shirt (dark blue and orange), a red soccer shirt, Adidas soccer pants, and tennis shoes….. Hopefully I looked a little more normal. But then again I don't remember looking in a mirror before going out.

Either Nick or I speak Spanish but we set out today with open hearts and really ready for some awkward moments. Our tactic: give food and say Jesus

Martha( Maria, Margret, Mary I cant understand Spanish names so I'm not exactly sure) she was the first person we "talked to". I love her. I don't know what she was saying but she seemed like the sweetest lady. We sat with her for about 30mins while she ate her food we got for her. But it's probably one of the things I will always remember about the race. And then there was Christina, me and Nick sat next to her for a couple hours. We felt as if she had no interest in us. But me saw me walking down the street today and she started yelling my name and waving. That was the sweetest thing. She even remembered my name.

Who cares about the language barriers!!! Love can be recognized by anyone! So we asked The Lord again. Tonight we are heading out to Cochabamba! We bought our bus tickets yesterday knowing that we had no place to stay. Every place was too expensive. But at 6pm we got invited to stay at a church right in the heart of the city! Your guess is as good as mine, I have no clue what we are doing yet. Just waiting on The Lord. stay tuned! We will continue to walk by faith and not by sight!
