Mozambique
- It is bordered by Malawi, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

- Almost half of the population is under the age of 14 and 67% of the population is under that age of 24.
- The median age is 17 years old.
- The main African ethnic groups found here are Makhuwa, Tsonga, Lomwe, and Sena.
- The official language is Portugese, but only 10% of the population speaks it. The other languages are Emakhuwa, Xichangana, Cisena, Elomwe, Echuwabo and several others.
- There is a variety of religions practiced – Roman Catholic (28.4%), Muslim (17.9%), Zionist Christian (15.5%), Protestant (12.2% – includes Pentacostal and Anglican), other (6.7%), non (18.7%).
- Around 12% of the populaton is infected with HIV/AIDS and it has the fifth highest number of deaths due to HIV/AIDS in the world.

Only about half of their population can read and write - As of 2008, 1,369,080 children between the ages of 5-14 were involved in some form of child labor. That is 22% of their child population and that number has probably increased in the 6 years that have passed.
