after packing up and leaving honduras we boarded a coach bus. comfy seats, only our squad, a bathroom, awesome travel day. after two border crossings and about 18 hours worth of travel we arrived in antigua, guatemala for our first debrief.
i really didnt know what to expect. i knew it was a few days to come together as a squad, talk about our past month, and meet with our coaches and mentors. we piled into our hostile and at almost any point during the day you could find a bunch of racers in the lobby of the hostel, that’s where the best wifi was.
every team had a meeting with our leaders, coaches, and mentors to talk about what went well and what we need to work on. we met one on one to make sure everyone was doing ok. we got to explore a bit of antigua and have a party to celebrate all the feburary birthdays. but most importantly we mte as a squad every night. we came together to worship and share our hearts. we are all here for different reasons, but we have the same goal. as we get stronger as a squad the goal of sharing God’s love to the world grows stronger and stronger.
this month we are all together as a squad so we can keep sharing and growing throughout the month. i am excited for future debriefs, after a month apart where we can come together and share what God has showed us, how He is workingin our hearts, and how He is changing people through our ministries.
