Dear Friends and Family,

After doing the World Race you would think I would be done. This is a different story though. I have been training now for four months at Adventures In Missions, through their Center For Global Action program. In their Field Leadership track, I have seen, learned and experienced lots and have come to the culmination of it and have come to the part of my journey where its time to just GO! I am excited to inform you that I will be going out into the nations again, but this time Squad Leading U Squad Third Generation! My heart leaps for joy at the way God has been faithfully preparing me for this step in my journey and how I’ll be leading the next generation of U-squaders!

I have to admit I am scared, nervous, excited, anxious, and most of all though in awe of where the Lord has taken me to get me where I am at today. For you see I’ve never thought I would dare lead people, however Papa has given me a heart to do just that, to lead people into deeper waters, to allow them to experience His heart! As a Squad Leader (SQL) I serve alongside a leadership team of Coaches and Squad Leader Mentors with the primary responsibilities of creating and facilitating the cultural environment on the squad that allows participants to move through a transformational process of losing the false-self and seeing who they truly are in Christ! I will be on the field for five months going to South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique, India, and Nepal. I’ll be headed back home in early December and then I have two other times to go back out and debrief with the squad in months 7 (January) and 11 (May).

What this means then is that I need to fundraise $6,500. But because of everyone’s generous giving last time I am so very excited to say that I have $2,400 left to fundraise! Here is a breakdown of what I need to be fully funded!

  • 25 people donate $100

  • 35 people donate $65

  • 45 people donate $50

As always the first and most important way that you can support me is through prayer, and if through praying you feel led to donate you can donate via my blog at alysasharp.theworldrace.org and on the top you’ll see a “Support Me” button click on that and it’ll take you to where you can donate! Or you can mail in checks with the check made out to Adventures in Missions with my name Alysa Sharp in the memo line to

I love bringing people closer to our Father’s heart, to show them that nothing is impossible, to release that then in a way that people feel encouraged and drawn into the hope and the possibility of God. My heart’s cry is to cultivate the freedom, hope and confidence found in peoples identity in Christ though deeply loving the least of these, revealing to them the value of their true selves through discipleship. I am so excited to see the way God is going to use me in this time and how He is going to be moving in my squad.

Joyfully with Love,

Alysa Sharp
