“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”–Isaiah 54:10

Foundations. They are the pinnacle substance to any building, any religion, any political stance, any relationship, any commitment. If there is no solid foundation then how can anything remain steadfast and sturdy? Many times in our lives God asks us to just trust Him and what He is doing. So many times though we feel like the way in which He is asking is too hard, or what He is asking will break our foundation. However, the amazing thing about Abba is that His foundation is ever constant, unwavering, faithful love. And He continually says to us to just “come to me, just as you are, for I am all you need.”

Its this unfailing love that has been woven throughout all of time. Since the very beginning it’s been there. I can just imagine that when God breathed into Adam, that very first breath, what was really happening was God whispering the words “I love you.” Once those words were spoken all of humanity was shaken. Because in that very moment when those words filled Adam’s lungs, he knew with every fiber of his being that he was unconditionally, without a waiver of doubt he was loved and that love is what gave source to his life.

To know that you are loved is something we all desperately long for, to know that you are wanted, longed for, and desired. That someone is willing to lay down their life for you and to say “you are the one I love and no one else.” Its etched into our hearts, for a deep sense of being loved. Yet why then do we so often take for granted the love that has always been freely given to us? For Abba is like a supersaturated cloud, showering peace into the pool of our minds. His nature is to bless. Our nature is to receive with thanksgiving. This is the true fit, designed for you and me. He is the goal of all our searching and wondering. For when you seek Him, you find Him and you are satisfied.

We each have been made for intimacy. Our hands that reach out to hold the hands of our creator. The feet we use to walk were first created to walk in deep relationship with Papa in His garden. Our eyes were made to gaze upon His face, the lips that were formed are meant to bring songs of praise. The ears we have were made to hear the rhythm of His love. The voice we have, unique and specific is to be used to speak the truth of who He is. The gaze though that we look up to Him with and He looks to us with is filled with love. For we were created with a foundation of an intimate love affair with Papa.
