Love like a sword without a handle and because of that sometimes we'll get cut when we pick it up. It's supposed to be close contact though. Love is always that way. Bible verses weren't meant to be thrown around like grenades at each other, they were meant for us to use to point each other toward love and grace and invite us into something much bigger.
“For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete. Look at what is before your eyes. If anyone is confident that he is Christ's, let him remind himself that just as he is Christ's, so also are we. For even if I boast a little too much of our authority, which the Lord gave for building you up and not for destroying you, I will not be ashamed.
We do not boast beyond limit in the labors of others. But our hope is that as your faith increases, our area of influence among you may be greatly enlarged, so that we may preach the gospel in lands beyond you, without boasting of work already done in another's area of influence. “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 10: 3-8, 15-17)
We have authority in Christ. You, me, everyone who believes in Christ has power beyond our imagination for we do not have our own strength, we have God’s. Our war, our battle is for people’s hearts, for their souls. Because we are in a spiritual battle not a physical one.
We have a strong sphere of influence among us to change the hearts of those around us, to change the cities we live in!
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8: 37-39)
We each are more than conquerors and nothing in this world will ever separate you from the love of God which is living and active inside of you and me! As our sphere of influence expands, as the love of God continues to grow give praise for what the Lord is doing for we are his hands and feet and remember it is all through his power, might and strength nor our own.
We are stronghold breakers, we are conquerors, we are God’s army marching out not to fight, but to love. To love those around us. Our mother, father, sister, brother, friend, neighbor, or stranger. Love as God has called us to love and that is how the world around us will change!
“Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” ( 1 Corinthians 13:7)
LOVE NEVER FAILS! So neither will we because we have the God who is love fighting right alongside of us and He ALWAYS WINS-LOVE ALWAYS WINS!!!
