I prayed God would give me a vision today,
someone I could pray for….pray with.
He gave me a vision of a white hat.
I searched all day for that person,
then I received the news…..you were gone.
You, the girl with all the funky hats.
We never had a true goodbye.
I had to ask: “What could I have done?”
The signs were there, but you were
‘working on it’. Weren’t you?
Now, the vision of you in a white hat
is painted across my mind.
A Fedora?….or maybe it was more floppy.
Was it even white?
Or does White symbolize Alaska and Colorado,
your two homes on earth.
Does it symbolize Heaven, your new home?
I ache for your family, for our friends.
Across the world, I am helpless.
When I come home, something will be missing…
your bright face, your ‘light up the room’ smile.
I have a vision of a white hat,
I have a vision of you.
Rest In Peace Sarah.

Sometimes we can’t understand why things happen, but I don’t think God wants us to. If we rest in his grace and know that he uses every event in our lives for something good, then we can find peace.
Visions may come as reassurance…..a vision of a white hat….simple…..a peace that she is resting with Christ. His robe of redemption is around her, Sarah is pure and whole again.
