Hi Allyson’s faithful blog followers! I am Dan and our blog prompt this week was to hand over our blogging devices to whoever was sitting next to us and have them write a guest blog to post. SO here I am, writing about my trusty friend al!
Here is Allyson in the eyes of Dan.
Allyson is the spunkiest gal I know. Her light is contagious and her jokes will have you rolling in your seat. She is the best (and most dramatic) story-teller and adds so much life and joy to any room she is in.
Allyson cares so deeply. She has such a passion for making people feel like family. I have never met someone who talks about her family like she does, she really beams with pride and love for them. Every ministry we have been in; Allyson has compared at least ONE kid to her niece/nephew.
When Allyson loves something, you will hear all about it. She raves about sleeping in her hammock. She insists that whiteys is THE BEST ice-cream. She loves steak tacos and being a silly billy. On the contrary, when Allyson doesn’t like something, you will hear all about that too. She hates wearing closed toed shoes, she hates when we refer to everything as a “guy”she is OCD about how much paper she uses when journaling (but I understand that one for sure) and she hates when people call her the wrong name…
STORY TIME
When it was Allyson’s birthday, she started her day out by reading some of the cards she brought with her from home. The night before she got out all the cards for her special day and noticed one that said “ELISON” and she was thrown for a LOOP! “WHHHHYYYY would someone write my name like that?” “Do they even know me????” “This is so NOT FUNNY!!!” Even better, when she opened the card to finally reveal who wrote that stinkin’ letter, it was signed from a mystery name. To this day, she will never let us forget that card and she is still on the hunt to figure out who wrote it.
(p.s. if whoever wrote that card is reading this blog, enjoy.)
Allyson is such a caring friend and loves to make you feel wanted. I have seen her really pour into people while on the race, and she definitely has a knack for loving people well. Thanks Allyson for being a superb friend.
Overall, this blog is just a reminder to all you followers that this girl is the REAL DEAL and we love her.
Allyson,
Keep on being a light in this world you Tampico lovin’, heart-warming, theatrical-story-tellin’ person. I am so grateful to call you a sister of mine. (or brother, hehehe)
All the love,
Dan
