I am in need of financial and prayerful support! To build that team of supporters who can pray, encourage, and be a part of this journey. Here’s my request for support letter!
Family and Friends,
I hope this letter finds you in a truly wonderful place! Guess what? I’ve graduated! And I am ready to embark on a new journey, to go places of which I have only dreamed, and grow in ways I can only imagine!
As you may know, I have been involved in a Christian campus ministry at West Virginia University for the past few years. It has given me the opportunity to serve, grow, and build a community with my classmates and local individuals. After being involved, I have felt a call to go even further in serving! To put aside my possessions and to serve as He did, in ways I could not do at home.
I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve on an 11 month missionary program called The World Race, through the ministry Adventures in Missions! I have graciously been accepted to a route starting in January 2016 that visits (tentatively) Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Albania, Nepal, India, Malaysia, Thailand, and Cambodia. In each of these countries I will be serving for a month, telling others about the wonderful love and need for God. The mission will include building churches and homes, assisting orphanages, helping individuals out of human trafficking, and serving in many other ways, all while preaching the Gospel.
I so humbly ask you to partner with me in prayer, but of course I am in need of financial support as well. I need to raise $16,962 total. Every little bit is such an enormous blessing. While this does cover the cost of the mission, it is not for me, it is an opportunity to support this amazing ministry through Adventures in Missions, to serve others in places you are not able to go, and to reach those nations with news of Christ. The most difficult part of this journey for me is taking that leap of faith, trusting that where He calls, He provides. By joining me in prayer and/or giving financially, there is an opportunity to become a part of this work that God is doing.
Financial support can be given in a few ways. You can check out my blog at allysontenney.theworldrace.org and click on the “Support Me” tab to give online. Support can also be given with check via mail in the pre-addressed envelope provided. Checks can be made payable to Adventures in Missions with TENNEYALLYSON in the memo line. Please enclose fundraising card provided with check. Support can be given monthly or just as a one-time donation.
Prayers are also needed as I dive into this journey. Prayers for trust and faith in what the Lord has called me to do. Check out the blog to keep updated! I hope to be in touch soon.

Adventures In Missions is a tax-exempt organization under IRS code 501(c)(3) and is a member of the ECFA. (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability). Due to IRS and ECFA regulations governing the administration of tax deductible donations given in support of a particular trip/program, support contributions given on behalf of an individual will be used to offset the costs of the trip/program you are involved in. All contributions are non-refundable regardless of the participant’s success in completing the program.
