Yes, it’s true. I’m back on a university campus and I wasn’t planning on it. However, this time I get to go to with a completely different purpose. This month we’re partnering with YWAM in Maha Sarakham, Thailand. They are heavily focused on evangelizing to the students at their local university.

So every morning we’ve been able to go to the university and talk with students. We get to talk to them and hear about their lives. We often get asked what we are doing in a non-tourist area of the country,a question that opens the door for us to share with them about Jesus. Many of them haven’t heard much or anything about Jesus.

I realized how much I enjoy college students. They are at such a crucial age that if they decide to follow Jesus, they will follow Him for the rest of their lives. We also invite them to get connected with YWAM, so they have a community.

In doing this my teammate, Becca and I stumbled across the American corner at the university. We got to talk with students that spoke great English. One of them studies religion and came to the YWAM meeting that same night. We then met a girl working on her Master’s degree who is hiring him to help with her research.

I also got to meet some students from Cambodia, the country we were at last month. I’ve gotten to have lunch with them a couple times as they are studying Thai for the summer.

What I’ve realized walking back onto a college campus is how crucial of a time this is in their lives. The beliefs they establish at this time can change the course of their lives. It’s a unique opportunity to impact the whole country as the students go home for the summer. Please be praying for these students that we’ve had the opportunity to connect with.

Also, my squad of 51 people went through team changes. This means I get to live day in and day out with a new group of 7 girls (including me). I want to tell you more about my teammates because they have such a huge impact on my race. So I’ll be sharing some short bios at the end of my blogs. Today, please meet Becca:
