I ran into a Vietnamese version of myself three years ago. I wanted to go to Bible college, but my parents wanted me to go to a public university where my siblings were studying. I ultimately decided to go to Bible college. Now both my parents and I say it was the best decision for me. God brought me to a girl in a very similar situation.
We were walking home from a traditional Vietnamese meal that some local teachers invited us to. I ended up walking home with her and we talked about music. The walk was about 30 minutes and about halfway home she asked me about calling. She told me she was waiting on a calling from God. She wants to become a pastor, but her parents want her to go to school for tourism.
I told her about my story and that if she had that deep desire to be a pastor, that was probably her calling. That she could pray and ask God to change her parents’ hearts as well. He had changed my parents hearts about Bible college and about going on the race. That if they trusted Him, they could trust his plans for me and that he would take care of me. She could trust God to do that for her parents as well.

As of now, I’m still a little over $2000 away from being fully funded. Please consider supporting me financially and through prayer as I have to meet my final deadline by the end of the month.
