I am the Type-Aist, organized, goal-oriented person I know.

In preparation for this worldwide trip, I have kept a long “To-Do” & “Goals” list on my desktop for at least 9 months to keep myself on track and make sure everything gets taken care of before leaving. If I write down my goals and dreams and put them in a place for me to see they WILL be accomplished.

I’m happy to say that ALL of the vital “To-Do & Goals” have been X off. Except, there is one sad little (actually it’s big) goal that somehow in the midst of life I have given up on. And that’s this.

Making the list (and checking it twice) with 9 solid months ahead of me, I figured that’d be PLENTY of time to reach such a goal.  Well here I am, 8 months later with this exact number in my account right now.

It’s not a bad number. In fact, it’s a GREAT number. I am right on track with my fundraising deadlines and I am thankful for that every day. But, it’s not my goal number. It’s not the number I dreamed of.

So with exactly one month left until I “Launch”, I challenge you my readers, subscribers, friends, family, and acquaintances, to help me get this number to $11,000.

It’s the number of champions. In The World Race’s eyes, it’s the most beautiful number. (#11n11)

If my account says $11,000+ by September 7, 2013 I vow to eat a fried tarantula in Cambodia. I will eat it, I will record it, and I will thank God for giving me my “daily bread”.

Note: I am a vegetarian (I consider arachnids meat) and have a mild case of arachnophobia. I had a pretty gnarly experience with a deathly spider when I was in Nepal that seriously made me consider desiring to go overseas ever again. So this is a big deal. But I will do it. Click anywhere on this page where it says "Support Me!" to help me eat it.

Video credit to my Squad Leader Zach who took on this challenge like a champ. I hope to be as manly as him one day.
