Well, I’m not getting married, having a baby, graduating, and it’s not my birthday or Christmas, but I AM leaving for almost a year to go on a Christian missions trip around the world. And I think that’s good enough reason to have my own registry.

REI has become my new favorite site to visit and I’ve starting clicking on this little button that adds items that I will need to my WISH LIST.

I can’t even express the ungodly amount of hours I’ve spent over the months researching, comparing, penny-pinching, talking with my teammate, praying, and figuring out what exactly I will need to live off of for 11 months… that will all fit in a backpack.

I’ve been praying over items and trying to find the line between luxury/necessary/convenience so I can be as practical and affordable as possible.

Initially, I wasn’t going to “ask” anyone for anything, wasn’t going to buy ANYTHING aside from literally a backpack, tent, and sleeping pad (because straight up I wouldn’t be able to afford anything else!). But then God assured me that it’s okay to ask. That He wants to provide these things for me. And that He wants to provide them without me spending any money.

At one point, I even (very reluctantly) turned down a very good offer on a piece of equipment because I remembered God’s promise to me and just had to rely on faith that He would provide this for me.

I questioned and doubted God for a long time on this one when He first gave me the vision of “Spend $0 on WR gear”. But after praying through, I finally saw Him provide my largest item in a very unexpected way. And He said, “Duh Allison, I told you not to worry! See, I got this! I AM able and you don’t need to worry.”

So, here I am with my carefully picked out “Wish List” for my World Race that I wanted to share with you.

I know some people prefer to support in a more practical and physical way, which is totally okay, and this is the perfect way to do it. (Then when you look at my pictures when I’m camping out in the bush in Kenya, you can be like I GOT HER THAT TENT! Or, when I’m going out for the day in Thailand to meet with some girls and love on them, I can whip out my laptop or Bible from my awesome day pack and think of you every time and give thanks to God for that gift.)

So without further a due, here is my *Wish List…

*REI is having a REALLY great sale for the next couple days/weeks, which is the PERFECT time to buy some of these items. Especially since 90% of the items I initially picked out are now on sale!!!

**Amazon is also a great place to purchase some of these items that might even be more affordable.

UPDATE: Just realized you CAN make a "registry". So here's to making things a little easier 🙂 I also will be adding a few more items soon so be sure to check back!

In addition to this gear, I still have about $12,500 to raise in financial support. If you would like to be an angel and donate toward my trip directly, you can click here OR click on the "Support Me!" tab to the left <<<

Thank you, thank you THANK YOU! <3
