ex-pec-ta-tion

[ek-spek-tey-shuhn]

-noun

1. the act or the state of expecting: to wait in expectation.
2. the act or state of looking forward or anticipating.
If I tried to say that I was not looking forward to or anticipating this journey, I indeed would be lying. However, I would have to say that the first part of the above definition is what currently describes my state of mind. I am waiting in expectation. Now, I know that part of the World Race is to give up all expectation, to hold everything with an open hand. I’m not sure I fully agree. You see, I am waiting in expectation for my God to show up. Waiting expectantly for Him to come and to transform me. Expectantly waiting for Him to take me deeper into his never-ending ocean of love.
Waiting, waiting, waiting.
Expecting.
I am expecting Jesus to walk with me every single day of this journey.
Didn’t He promise me He would?
