This time tomorrow I will be in Gainesville, Georgia getting to know my teammates for this next year! My backpacks are packed (I’m still not sure how everything fit in there, and probably wouldn’t be able to replicate it if I tried) and I’m ready to go and receive training over the next ten days for our upcoming trip.

I most likely will not have access to Internet or my cell phone thoughout this next week and a half, but am definitely planning on writing an update when I get back to give you a glimpse of what it will be like for my next 11 months!

Prayer Points:

1) This will be the FIRST time that our whole squad (about 50 people, from all over the US) will be together! We have been communicating over Internet but it just isn’t the same as face-to-face. Please pray for a quick bonding together, unity, and brotherly love for our squad and that the AIM staff will have wisdom in dividing us up into our smaller teams (about 5-7 people).

2) Please pray for the Lord to be preparing and working in our hearts these next 10 days especially as we focus on leaving for our trip in August!

3) Please continue to pray that our Father will bring in sufficient funding and provision for the trip! I have pretty much all my equipment right now and just need to do a few more things like malaria medication and a couple vaccines. But there is the still the main funding, for the whole year, that is currently met at 54%. My next deadline is the end of July, at which point I will need to have $10,000 (Only about $600 away!). The totsl amount isn’t due until the end of November but I am praying that the Lord will bring it all in even before I initially leave in August!

4) The past couple of days I have been fighting a bit of a cold and feeling a little under the weather. Please join with me in trusting that the Lord will sustain and meet me during the strenuous physical requirements at camp, and that this cold wouldn’t be a hindrance.

Thank you all so much for your love and support in this next chapter of my life! It is so humbling seeing the Lord faithfully provide through the Body. May Christ be glorified!
