A few days have gone by since I first wrote about our walk through the African Bush and the people that we prayed for. It is only fitting that I update all of you with the good news!
The day we walked with Mary we went to 2 homes, one was the house of Helma, the woman who had been paralyed by a stroke and then next was a home of a young man suffering from AIDS.
On Friday my teammates were able to return to both homes and report that Jesus was in the healing business. Helma was able to speak much better and was truly enjoying visitors on their second trip back to the house. The man with AIDS was out of bed and walking around. PRAISE GOD. Our faith has been so incredibly built up by these two events. The man with AIDS later showed up at church on both Friday and Sunday for services. This was a man that when we initially met him he was incredibly weak and had not been out of bed in months. He also reported that he was far from God, but wanted to get closer. We prayed for his physical healing as well as his relationship with the Lord to grow.
I have been under the weather for a few days and unable to go back and visit them myself, but am so thrilled to hear of the mighty work of God in their lives. More than anything, I am humbled that my small prayer for healing would be used in such a might way in each of their lives. Thank you Father that I am able to participate in the work you are doing around the world.
