We debated telling anyone this, but Antigua is absolutely phenomenal! Definitely one of the most beautiful places we have been all year; and we have been in some pretty fantastic places!

We had a HECK of a trip getting here–it started with a 3AM taxi that never showed and included sleeping on the floor of a bus station, a random hotel in a bus station and MANY hours on multiple buses, but God is good and we arrived safe and sound about 36 hours and 4 countries later. (Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala)

Because of the favor of the Lord we have been absolutely hooked up in our living quarters for the month. We were able to rent a gorgeous house just outside Antigua for about 1/2 our monthly budget. We are relishing QUEEN size beds, a full kitchen, a couch and a patio! We actually feel kind of guilty for such nice living conditions. 🙂 We sometimes even have hot water showers–which are a huge bonus these days. Because we are outside of town, it is a bit of a challenge to get to town, but we have embraced “chicken bus ministry” and are making friends as we ride along.

We have met an American couple pastoring a church here in Antigua and are working through them to make some ministry contacts. As always, the options are plentiful and I am praying into where God would like my energies spent this month. I have so much to write on what He is doing in my heart, so look for that blog soon, I promise.

The Lord is doing a mighty work in my heart and I can’t wait to share with all of you.

“Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God,
keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who
love him and keep his commands.” Deuteronomy 7:9
