The World Race has long since ceased to be a “mission trip” for me, and has instead become a family, a way of life, or the “church” to me. Whether I have met every racer or not matters little; we are all connected with the same DNA, the same passion for Nations, the same desire to bring Kingdom to earth.
So, when I read blogs asking for prayers, funds, love, etc…my heart responds; and nothing could have broken my heart more than the recent blogs of my brothers and sisters in Vietnam. They are encountering a spiritual battle there unlike anything we here in American can fathom. They are truly living in the darkest place imaginable. Not just visiting for ministry, but living there. They issued a call to prayer today to war in the spiritual realm for the people of Vietnam. Paul reminds is in Ephesians 6 that “our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of the dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Never has this been more true than in Vietnam at this very hour. There is a battle going on and we are called to wage war.
I went to the park today to pray for, and with, my brothers and sisters on the July 08 WR squad. To come into agreement with them against Satan and his minions and to remind him that he is a defeated foe. As I prayed the Lord led me to a certain passage of scripture that I believe depicts exactly what this squad was doing today for Vietnam. July Squad, I prophesy this over you in Jesus’ name and stand with you in believing that the Lord has chosen you guys to be His temple in that dark place. Rise and take your place:
The Lord says, “I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a temple for sacrifices. When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land and send plague among my people, If my people, who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgve their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there.” 2 Chronicles 7:12-16
Thank you guys for humbling yourselves before the Lord and re-claiming Ho Chi Minh city for HIS name tonight. What an example to everyone in the States to re-claim the territory He has already given us; schools, cities, businesses all belong to Him and we must re-claim them for His glory. Love you guys!
