On a complete whim yesterday at lunch my roommates and I decided to move to GA tomorrow. That is how we roll. Jake and I reflected last night driving home from wal-mart at 10pm that it is nice we are still “those kind of people”. The kind of people that decide over lunch to move 5 states away. No problemo.
That means i am sitting here writing a blog amidst a LOT of boxes, a lot of dust bunnies and crazy confusion. Trying to move 12 people’s things from one house is rather, um, daunting, shall we say? Let’s just say there won’t be a lot of sleeping going on.
(we were planning on moving to GA soonish…just not this soonish! haha)
I have this horse-thing. Like a decorative horse-thing that I want to take with me, but he just won’t seem to fit in any box. He might not make the move. Do you do that? Get very random and bold in your packing and just chuck anything that doesn’t fit into a specific box? I do. Maybe too much. I ate homemade sushi last night made by the one and only Dennis Ho (also a roommate) and it was delicious! And I don’t even eat sushi–but he coaxed me into it with my favorite thing–guacamole! I know you were thinking i was going to say chicken salad, weren’t you? Nope–guac is a very close runner up. There is this place in Atlanta called Tin Lizzy’s and it is FABULOUS guac and 18 flavors of another delish drink. 18 flavors! Can you imagine! I am secretly hoping that my secret admirer is reading this right now and shows up to take me to Tin Lizzys. Just imagine the excitement of a secret admirer and Tin Lizzys!!! wowsers!
Last week I was at the beach for a little fun in the sun with my favorite people and I only had to get dressed ONE day. Only combed my hair and put on makeup once and it was glorious!! I literally lived in a swimsuit and pajamas. I can’t imagine anything better. We played dominos every night and I was bound and determined to win at the end of the week, but alas, my domino skills came up a little short. It is all luck anyways, right?!? That’s what I keep telling myself.
The boxes don’t seem to be packing themselves, so i need to run. In the meantime, enjoy a few pics from the beach! Have a great weekend and I will talk to you next week from my new home in GA!!! Feel free to pray we all make it to ATL with ALL of our belongings and people still speaking to each other 🙂 haha. just kidding….kinda.
This amazing family takes care of me in more ways than I can count. I LOVE them all dearly–especially when they pose for this “awkward family photo” moment! They bless my socks of like crazy and I am glad to call them my family!
One of my favorite kiddos of all time! He also has a twin brother that is equally cute!!
Don’t they just look like fun!!!
My bestie!
See, we did get dressed one day!
Best day ever!
