We have traveled MANY miles since I last wrote. We left Puerto Cabezas last Thursday via airplane. Praise Jesus! They had mercy on us and decided another 30 hours in a school bus might do us in! We flew to Granada and spent a few days in that beautiful city. It is definitely a place I enjoyed and will visit again.
Saturday morning we traveled to Jinotepe, Nicaragua for debrief. Jinotepe is up in the mountains and we have loved every minute of debrief. The Pitts and Days showed up and blessed us with M&M’s, Reeces, and of course, their wisdom. They are a true blessing to us and we love hanging out with them. We have spent the past few days catching up on sleep, eating good food and enjoying one another. Today we even found a local water park to entertain us for a few hours! Good times!!
But, it is time to hit the road again. Myself and 6 others (Sean, Courtney, Katey, Jessie, Sarah, and Lauren) leave at 3AM for Antigua, Guatemala. Over the next 2 days we will catch 2 taxis and 2 buses and travel MANY hours to arrive in Antigua on Friday (we hope!) We would appreciate your prayers for SAFE travel, easy border crossings and no complications.
Our time in Antigua is going to be spent working with an American missionary family and the church they Pastor. More details to come.
It is safe to say that our time on the Race is coming to a close WAY too fast and we are all realizing just how soon we will be apart. There is separation anxiety and a desire to maximize every minute together (which is how they have convinced me to go Salsa dancing tonight and sleep on the roof of the hotel til 3AM). Our community here is fabulous and I truly can’t imagine life without them. Pray for all the Racers this next month. We are all going 5 different directions and seeking the Lord’s will for our next month.
Much love! Here are some fun pictures from our month
