We have returned from an awesome holiday week off at the beach. We stayed at a cozy little place on Puerto Galera and enjoyed warm sun and nice breezes most of the week. We had a few days of rain, but managed to play a lot of cards and catch up on some new movies too.
Right after Christmas our debriefers arrived bringing a whole new “Christmas” with them, complete with Santa, stockings and plenty of candy! It was magical to take communion on the beach surrounded by new family. God has truly blessed me with amazing friends and I stood around was blown away by their hearts for one another and God.
We returned on the 31st for New Year’s Eve in Manila. We joined our hosts for the month, the Long Family, for a time of spectacular fireworks. America–we have a lot to learn from the Filipinos about fireworks! I have never seen anything like it! We laughed because we have had snow on the 4th of July in Africa and fireworks on Christmas/New Year’s in the Philippines! What a life!!
Enjoy some pictures of our time!
