In Feb 2007 Ryan Stewart was on the World Race and came across
JUSTINE.  His heart was moved with compassion, and like Jesus, he
desired healing and so much more for her life.   Read his account here: http://ryanstewart.theworldrace.org/?filename=justine.

There were so many times on the Race where you meet a person and they become so special to you.  They become a part of you, a piece of your heart remains with them and you carry them as you move forward.  I experienced this in multiple countries last year.  The “Rev” in Uganda, Pastor Antonio in Guatemala, etc…time fades, but the memories of these people never really fade.  Justine had this impact on Ryan.

Because of this heart connection, last year when he saw that another World Race team was going to be in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala, near Justine, Ryan wrote the team and asked them to follow up if possible.

Tara Stephenson, from the July 08 squad picked up the story from there.  Needless to say, details in the 3rd World sometimes are sketchy and the team went on a wild goose chase to track down Justine and found her!   http://tarastephenson.theworldrace.org/?filename=the-search-for-justine-starring

Just this past week, the World Race has yet another team in Puerto Barrios.  Ryan emailed the leaders and filled them in on his connection with Justine, and they too went searching.   What they found brings all of us such joy.  http://andreawendel.theworldrace.org/?filename=finding-justine

The stories like this are what keep me at my desk, answering phone calls, responding to emails, getting on airplanes, and living this nomadic lifestyle. This is what the World Race is all about.

Stories like this are what Jesus is all about.
