That’s right!!  A stream of consciousness post delivered just to you from me!  It has been a week, so there is no telling what may come running out of these fingers!

It is Friday morning and Kelly and I decided we needed cinnamon rolls to start our day properly.  Unfortunately we do not have any of those gracing the shelves of our fridge so we piled in the car and off we went.  With a few other errands to run as well.  I love the post office.  Everything in there is so organized and lined up and just well, organized.  Everything that is except for me.  I had to abandon the package I was mailing THREE times to run out to the car and retrieve my wallet, or my phone to call and get the person’s address, then realized I had left my wallet back in the car again.  I swear I looked nuts to anyone who just happened to be observing my strange patterns.  Have you ever watched a squirrel?  They run all over the place, seemingly just moving the same nut back and forth from tree to tree?  That was me at the post office this morning.  Running around like a confused squirrel.  Never mind that I was still wearing my pajamas and had failed to comb my hair.

When I was a kid I wanted to be a postman when I grew up.  Other kids wanted to be Doctors or Astronauts and I just wanted to be a postman.  I had these lofty goals because I dreamed of organizing papers in their proper places.  We used to set up the post office on our front porch swing and push letters thru the slats.  I am pretty sure that would not have worked out for me in real life.  I am way more organized in my postman dreams than in real life.  Just ask the people watching me scurry in and out of the post office this morning.

Have I told you guys that I really struggle to have grace for people who can’t spell “there” or “their” or ‘they’re”?  It is a really big problem for me, this lack of grace.  I want everyone to be able to use “your” and “you’re” in the proper way as well.  I have a hard time looking past the fact that people use these incorrectly and I instantly want to correct them.  Luckily, I am still young enough and sane enough to keep my trap shut and just correct them in my head.  Just wait when I am 80 though–I may have lost even more of my filter and not be able to stop myself!

Enough with the ramblings.  I mentioned before this has been a pretty crazy week around here.  On Wednesday we had a team in Tanzania robbed of virtually all of their belongings.  It was an intense situation, but we are praising Jesus for safety and His divine protection on all of Team Se7en.  As soon as I heard the news I was reminded of the scripture that tells us that “angels are encamped around us”.  This team definitely had angels encamped around them, even as men with guns were in their physical realm, the angels were surrounding them in the Spirit.

We have been busy moving them to a secure location, helping them get new passports issued and shopping for some new duds.  If you would like an opportunity to bless some friends, please follow the link below.  Not only did they shove all of their belongings into a backpack for a year, but then they had those things stolen.  They are heroes in my book and I am so proud to serve them.  Please pray for their continued safety and health as we debrief them this weekend and make sure they are all emotionally healthy.  Please pray for their parents as they pray and try to help from the other side of the world, and please pray for our staff as we manage all the moving pieces and parts of the situation.
