Pacer! This was my favorite nickname for Jessie (her last name is Pace). She is truly one of the most genuine people I have ever come across and I have loved her all year long. The Lord gave us a connection way back in South Africa and we never really understood it, but went along with his plan.

Through some crazy circumstances we realized in Hong Kong how tightly he had knit our hearts. We share a similar life history in many ways and were able to form deep bonds based on our histories. Jessie absolutely loves life and is infectious to be around.

As you will notice, she is also one of the most photogenic people on the planet! We have laughed and giggled our way around the world, and at the same time had some pretty intense spiritual talks as well. I thank the Lord that he put her in my life and I could always count on her to tell me the truth—even if I wasn’t really in the mood to hear it. We did not spend much time together in ministry until the end of the Race, but we connected often during the months and at debriefs.

I was in the unfortunate position of making some hard leadership decisions and Jessie often took the brunt of those decisions. But, because of her humility and honesty it was my pleasure to talk to her and hear her heart. We didn’t always agree, but we always were able to see Jesus in the middle of everything and that is all that matters.

Jessie is one of the most loyal and loving friends a girl could ask for. I have watched how she has loved everyone around her all year round. She has a heart for the nations and I believe the Lord has done a mighty work in her this year. He has gifted her with vision and passion and one day we will hear big things from this awesome woman of God.

Pacer, I love you girl and love your heart. Thank you for all the memories this year. Hong Kong patio and Antigua date day will forever be etched on my heart. Keep walking in the anointing the Lord has placed over you and call me when you are a big star changing the World.
