I returned from World Race Training Camp two days ago! There will be more blog posts to come, but I promised some of you dear supporters that I’d let you know who my team is once I found out – and now I know!
We were given a few hours after finding out our teams to make memories together. After grabbing gigantic, refreshing smoothies from the closest Smoothie King (and trying to assimilate back into normally functioning society), we gathered in a nearby mall’s comfy seats to chat. We ended up going around and sharing parts of our testimonies with each other. Later that night, we decided on the team name Hope Awakening – a name that represents something we’ve all been through, something we are currently going through, and a vision we have for seeing hope awaken in the people we love and serve throughout the next year.
Here are names and blog links so you can stalk to your heart’s content (I took out the extra step that I know some of you would take…):
back row: Seth O’Neill | Sarah Jang | Laura Kawatski
front row: Francis Faucher-Gosselin | Hannah Midgett | Allison Huang (that’s me!) | Tyler Barton
I am SO excited to do life with these brothers and sisters. I’ve already been challenged and loved by them, and it’s so easy to see Christ working through them.
