During month 4 debrief in Guatemala we had team changes. I am so blessed to be leading this group of girls and can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for all of us. Please pray that the Audacity women would continue to bond together, become unified in Christ, and be a powerful force for God’s Kingdom.
I would like to start my series of “Meet My Teammate” by introducing you to my new team, Team Audacity!
Alyssa was raised in Lockport, NY. She is currently 25 years old. Alyssa grew up in the same church her whole life and found a lot of joy in being a part and serving in different ministries.
Though she grew up in the church and accepted The Lord at a young age, her relationship with Him grew and became more of a relationship in her senior year of high school and freshman year of college.
In 2010, the summer before her senior year of college, Alyssa went to the Dominican Republic and interned at an orphanage and she fell in love and felt called to the World Race.
Alyssa attended Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY and graduated with a degree in Adolescent Mathematics Education. In October 2011 she moved to Virginia where she taught 7th grade math for three years prior to the race. Even after moving to Virginia, she knew that she was still called to the Race at some point in the future and through a series of events ended up on this route.
Alyssa is passionate about seeing youth transformed by the gospel and raised up into young men and women who love The Lord. She is the treasurer for our team and has a huge responsibility! I couldn’t think of anyone better for this position. Alyssa brings such joy and peace to this team and I am extremely excited to see how the Lord continues to grow her in this next season.
