Have you ever met someone you just knew you were going to be fast friends with?
Yeah, me too.
Her name is Karly Thomas.
We officially “met” over Skype even before I went to training camp and immediately I knew I wanted to know her better. During the long ten days of training camp we washed each others feet, danced, worked out, worshipped, laughed, and led a group of blindfolded girls as they put together a tent. Needless to say, we had lots of time to bond and I prayed to the Lord that we would be put on the same team.
And guess what? HE DID!!
Karly was the fearless team leader of my team for the first four months of the race. This girl knows the love of the Lord like no one else I have met.
If I come home and you notice that I love people better, it’s because of the love of Jesus I see in her everyday.
So here’s the deal, my friend still needs $2,300 more until she is fully funded for her race. The final deadline has passed but she has been given a grace period to raise the rest.
Selfishly, yes I want her to stay because I love spending time with her but I also know that the Lord has used the past 6.5 months to equip and grow her for the work He has in store for her after the race. I don’t want this journey to be cut short for her.
Would you prayerfully consider supporting, Karly?
You can find her blog here: karlythomas.theworldrace.org If you click the ‘support me’ button in the top right corner on her page, it will take you right where you need to go.
Plus if you want to read more about her experiences on the world race, she is a beautiful writer and her blogs will give you a glimpse into what the Lord has been teaching her.
Your support means SO much to me.
See you in five months!!!!!
