To anyone who supported me this year, through prayers, through financial support, to anyone who read one of my blogs and shared along in this journey with me, this is for you:

THANK YOU.

Thank you for holding, loving and praying for orphans,

Thank you for sitting with, hugging, and holding the hands of a widow

Thank you for being family to some boys who came from broken homes

Thank you for feeding the hungry and healing the sick

Thank you for stepping out of your comfort zone to meet someone lonely

Thank you for speaking truth and love to bar girls.

Thank you for seeking, seeing, and loving the unloveable.

Thank you, because none of this, nothing that I did this year or had the absolute privilege of living and experiencing would have been possible without the support from all of you. Thank you for your sacrifices, for your generosity and for your obedience to Christ. I am so thankful and humbled by you and I don’t think I have enough words to tell you just how much, but I’ll try.

When I said yes to a year of overseas missions, yes to following His call, I was excited and scared. I had absolutely no idea where this year would lead me, I had no idea the adventure that it would bring me. In addition I was really scared because I had to raise over $16, 000 in order to go and I had never raised any amount of money that large! I learned in the fundraising process about trust, about humbling myself before the Lord to ask others for help, I learned that in this huge step of faith of support-raising that when the Lord calls us into something and we obey, He is FAITHFUL to see that calling to completion, He makes a way always!!

The financial support came in and I was fully funded before I knew it! In addition to your support through finances I was so incredibly thankful for your prayers, for the fighting that you were doing on my behalf, stateside. That was huge and one of the most powerful ways you supported me!! Thank you for fighting, for being a prayer warrior.

Although I witnessed a lot of brokenness, darkness, and hardship in the world, it was with your help and support that I got to go to bring love and hope, restoration and healing. I saw immense joy amidst hardship, I saw healing come to those who were wounded, both physically and emotionally, and I witnessed the love and light of Christ fall upon people in the darkest of times. This year I went out to the world and brought God’s Kingdom to earth, and you were part of that.

My prayer is that this past year you had your own journey with Jesus, that you were blessed. My hope is that by partnering with me on this mission, through following my journey and being such a huge part of it, by investing your time, prayers, and finances, that you were blessed, that you received a return on your investment! I pray the Lord opened your eyes to something for the first time. I hope that the Lord challenged you this year, that He revealed Himself to you in new ways, that He stirred something in your heart. For me, this year was just the beginning, the starting platform of what is yet to come. I pray that He continues to bless you for your generosity and obedience and that you will be overwhelmed by His love. Thank you for helping me cross the finish line of my World Race, my prayer for you as that you continue to run with endurance in your own Race (Hebrews 12:1) and that you too will be changed by the Father along the way.

All of my Love,

Allison
