I am so blown away!! As many of you know my first fundraising goal of $3,500 is due June 27th, two weeks before my training camp date. As I became worried and anxious thinking that I wouldn’t make my deadline, I was calmed and reassured by the One who is in control of my support raising. The Lord assured me that, in His time, it would all work out. Although I knew this was true, I didn’t know He would provide in such amazing, unexpected ways!!
This Thursday morning I was just $700 short of my first fundraising goal and I just knew I would make my first deadline in time so I was thrilled and so encouraged! On Thursday evening I decided to check my support account once more before heading to bed and my jaw literally dropped. I now have $4,024 in my fundraising account…that is over what I need for my first deadline and on top of that it is two weeks early!!!!
Most of you probably know that I am always late showing up to places. Always. On top of that, in college I mastered the art of procrastination. So, I have come to learn this about myself: I generally get things done well and completed on time but I finish up whatever needs done at the very last minute. I thought that this would be another one of those efforts and that I would reach my necessary deadline but that it would be just in time. However, through fundraising the Lord reminded me that our timing is so very different and that His is so much greater.
I was stunned, thankful, and so humbled by my discovery. I know that this was only possible through Him because there is no way that I could have raised $4,024 on my own two weeks before its due date! Fundraising has been one of the most humbling, encouraging and sanctifying experiences in trusting that the Lord would provide as needed, and I am so excited to see how the Lord will continue to provide through people and in ways that I could never expect.
So I want to take time to say thank you. Thank you all for your incredibly generous donations, prayers and support. I am so encouraged by what the Lord is doing through your generosity. Some that I don’t even know well or at all are being called to join in this mission through helping my support and I am stunned and so, so thankful!! I ask that you continue to pray as I have more support to raise in the next months. He is the Master of time and circumstances and I am continually learning this to be true. When He is faithful and is proved right all I can do is praise Him for His goodness!
