Hi Loves!

For the past few years, I have been at North Central College pursing my bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I have been working part time at Build a Bear Workshop and also working for Academic Support Services at North Central. Many adventures have happened throughout my college years such as making friends at school and at work with my co-workers. I have even connected and formed friendships with many customers at Build a Bear. I have also volunteered as an Occupational Therapist assistant in Outpatient Pediatrics as well as inpatient recovery at Edwards Hospital in Naperville. Major changes to my personal life including a long term relationship break up and my parents planning to move across the country have hit home very recently. Graduating at the end of March, Many of you have been asking: what happens next? Or what are your plans for graduation?

With all the uncontrollable changes that life throws at us, I felt lost in these recent months as well as unguided as my college graduation approaches at the end of March. Those of you who know me very well know that I like to be organized and like to plan out everything so it was to my great despair when plans that I had created for myself seemed to crumble in my hands. God was revealing to me that I cannot create what I want in my own life because he already has plans for it. Once I was willing to accept that, he planted the World Race in my heart.

The World Race is an extensive 11 month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries that is offered by Adventures in Missions. I will be living out of a hiking backpack, living in a tent, and traveling the world via bus, plane, hiking and other means of transportation. Although some countries may change, I will be traveling to China, the Philippines, Serbia, Albania, Malaysia, Thailand, Romania, Cambodia, Uganda, Ethiopia, and Rwanda. While aboard, I will be serving in churches, ministering to local communities, work in orphanages, food distribution, touching lives of women and children in human trafficking, planting churches and much more to bring the hope and grace of our heavenly father to lost nations. Not only is the World Race a missions trip, it is an intensive discipleship program that is aimed to raise a generation of faith bound individuals that want more than the American dream. I will face many challenges such as living apart from my loving family, living in different cultures, and being humbled by poverty and darkness. I am awaiting these obstacles, but as I prepare for my departure in July 2015, one of my greatest challenges is my financial support. Like most other missions organizations, The World Race participants are required to fundraise our own financial support. In order to leave fully funded on June 29th, I need to raise $16,277. This money will cover all of my field expenses for the entire 11 months of the trip. As I take this large step of faith in trusting the Lord, would you prayerfully consider partnering with me by giving?  In addition to needing sponsors, I will need continuous prayer as I embark on this ministry opportunity of a lifetime. If you have any questions about my trip feel free to contact me or comment below. Love Always and Thank you in Advance,
