Well World Race… Look What You Made Me Do….

big announcement… Are You Ready For It?

I AM GOING BACK TO INDIA AND NEPAL!!
*And the crowd goes wild*

Woot!! Yay!! Woot!! Yayyyyy!!!

Why, What, When, How?

What: I will be leading a trip called Passport, a 3 month trip through Adventures in Missions for participants ages 18-22. At the end of January, my Co-Leader, Christie, and I will be leading a group of 20 to India and Nepal. For the first month in India, we will be broken into two teams for ministry and lodging purposes. For the 2nd and 3rd month we will live and often do ministry together, but still have set aside time to spend with just our team so we can develop trust and dive deeper together in a smaller group.

As leaders, Christie and I have the privilege of getting to know and disciple this group well, learn what the Lord has to teach us through serving in these ministries together, and be a safe place for them to learn how to live out their faith as well as grow closer in relationship with their Creator and Savior. Pretty CrAzY CooL right?!

Our first month we will be in Hyderabad, India working in several children’s homes specifically for kids who have mental and physical disabilities, many of whom have been abandoned by their families. I have 4 amazing nieces, all of whom are extremely loved and well cared for by their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends. My hope and desire is that our team will get to show these kids that same kind of unconditional love and adoration during our time with them.

Why: I loved my World Race 2017!
Not liked it.
Not moderately enjoyed it.
Not mostly had a good time.
Not I would do it again if I had to.

I LOVED this past year and all the experiences I had- good and bad, and challenging.

Some of my squad mates were excited to leave the race and continue pursuing kingdom work in the U.S. But I really felt like God wasn’t quite done with my work out on the field yet. I knew there was a part 2, but I wasn’t sure of what that would be until about a week ago- Passport Trip Leading!

When: My plane leaves the U.S. on January 29th. Yep, that soon! It’s a pretty fast turn around, but I am so excited for this new adventure! We have one week of training in Atlanta where I will learn all the responsibilities of team leading and we get to meet the group and help train and prepare them as to what to expect for this season.

How: Fundraising! It is a mission trip after all! However, this time the entirety of my 3 months, flights included, is only $2000! AND to give God even more glory, he has already funded the entirety of my trip expenses! Wooohhhhooooo!

If you have a desire to contribute financially to the work we are doing, the ministry, or to those who are still praying for their fundraising, I would love to talk to you about how to make that possible!

If you would like to know another way to get involved, I ask you to please PRAY for this trip and the people who are embarking! This may seem futile and insignificant to some of you, but I can promise you the opposite is true. Few things are more powerful than this simple line of communication between creator and creation.

Prayers for my team and all that we will experience together.
Prayers for the ministries we will be working with.
Prayers that I allow the Lord to be the leader of this team and not rely on my own understanding alone.
Prayers that we have safe travel and experiences during our trip.
Prayers that lives will be radically transformed by the redeeming power of Jesus Christ.

As I continue to update my blog, (hopefully with a better track record than the last several weeks) I will let you know even more specifically what you can be praying for during our journey. Thank you so much for the support and prayer and love!

To say the least, I feel incredibly blessed to be headed back to Asia in a few weeks. There is a lot of growth that will come out of the next several months and I welcome it. I’m excited to be able to update you with pictures and stories as much as I can do stay tuned!

Sincerly,

Allie
