Hi!

My name is Allie and I’m 20 years old. I will turn 21 in March, which probably makes me one of the youngest ones on this trip.
I was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma but moved to the small town of Oologah when I was seven. I consider Oologah to be my home town, because that is where I have lived most of my life. After high school I moved to another small town in Oklahoma, Tahlequah, where I am living now. I am a junior at Northeastern State University, where I am studying geography. I am not exactly sure what I will be able to do with a degree in geography or even if I will finish with that major but I am sure everything will be figured out with time. I will be taking off two semesters of school for the World Race, which is actually a great relief. I have become pretty burned out on school lately and am excited for this new adventure God is leading me towards.
I had actually been praying about a shorter-term, summer mission trip to Pakistan when I heard about the World Race and God led me here instead.
Here are some random things about me:
I love animals, especially farm animals. I grew up on a “farm” and loved it (when I say farm, I actually mean testing out different farm animals and eventually settling with a bunch of dogs).
I am a very outdoorsy person. I feel God most when I am in His creation. So, I like to spend as much time outside as I can. I like kayaking, riding my bike, hiking, and camping. He made such a beautiful world, you can see Him in everything! Romans 1:20.
I am not very artistic (at least not in the conventional way) but I like to think that everybody can be artsy in their own special way. So, even though I draw like a third grader and am completely tone deaf,  I think God gave me my own artsy talents, even if they are baking, knitting and sewing.
Smiles are probably my favorite thing and I like to smile, a lot. Sometimes I think the only emotion I know how to express is happy.
I am completely computer/technology illiterate, I don’t understand it. I still can’t figure out how to put something on a flash drive, I had to have my sister set up my facebook for me, I don’t know how to download music to my itunes and it took me about 30 minutes just to figure out how to write this blog.
I am not afraid of a lot of things but my absolute greatest fear is wasps. They are terrifying.
I can be extremely shy. I don’t like being shy and I try to be more outgoing but it is my first reaction when I meet new people. But I will open up once you get to know me.
I have never been on an international mission trip but have felt called to missions for most of my life.
I am so excited to go on the World Race and can’t wait to get to meet everybody soon!
