The WR will be quite the experience, however the adventures won't stop after the 11 months. I'm viewing this sort of as a pruning and ripening season where the Lord will teach me and help me to grow in so many ways. But the mission won't end there. –Posted by me before the race.
Once the World Race ended I knew that my next step needed to be one of intentionality, involving community and discipleship. So much happened on the race, and in so many ways my world was shaken to the core. I was "wrecked" so to speak. There’s just something God wants to do in my life and radically obeying His voice is the only way I want to live it. I know I have been called to missions in some capacity for the rest of my life. While most of my peers have graduated college and are now moving on with life, I have chosen to do things a little differently. Well, this wasn’t necessarily my first choice. There's nothing too enticing to me about the south, but I must say the peaches are a plus. While God does give us free will, I also know that He is relentless. So in the end His plan prevails as it becomes more and more appealing to me.
Right now I am being called even deeper into a season of growth and training. This next year I will be living and taking part in a program called Center for Global Action through AIM in Gainesville, Ga. It’s the next step that will help gear me towards understanding God’s unique call on my life and will provide opportunities to help me move towards it.
I am praying God would provide people to come alongside me and support me both in prayer and financially. This is my act of worship, TRUSTING the One who holds my life in His hands. I can only ask that you would consider how the Lord may be leading you to partner with me in the Kingdom during this next season of my life. As each of us play our part in the Kingdom God shows up, and surely sowing into the Kingdom will only return blessings and a harvest of plenty!
Thank you Jesus for this opportunity and call you have placed on my life. Thank you that you provide all that I need. Thank you for your children who you have called to go, to give, to pray. Let your Kingdom come and your will be done! In your name, Amen.
