So today is my last day in Busia, Uganda. To be honest I am ready to get out of here. It wasn’t necessarily my favorite place. However, there was a lot of growth this month, both in myself and in my team. The team is beginning to get better at this whole intentional community living thing. But we still have a long ways to go. For some reason it was a hard month and we hit a few bumps we had to overcome. Like just with how to get along with eachother and love better.
On a more personal level I learned a lot about myself. Like what it takes for me to accept a person just the way they are. I’ll tell you the answer, pray for them daily. The more you pray for someone that you may not like the more you begin to see them the way God does. God really spoke to me a lot this month. I am still learning how to speak the prophesies he gives me out loud, but I’m getting better and more confident.
I’m excited to see what God has in store for Rwanda. I know it will be challenging. All the growth that happened this month wasn’t for nothing. My team will be in Kigale doing ministry through the Church of Hope living with Pastor James Gasana, his wife Olivia, and their 5 kids. But apart from that I'm not too sure what the ministry is going to look like.
There’s an adventure ahead. In fact, there’s an adventure to be had every day. I challenge you to open your eyes or ask God, who knows you may find yourself summiting mountains or soaring on an eagles wings.
I want to see a fearless generation stand up and take hold of the adventure that awaits them! What’s stopping you?
