Hi friends!
So as you guys know, I got fully funded for my race shortly before I left home. (woot woot !!) However, some of my sweet teammates are still fundraising. What that means is that they are having to send out emails and ask for donations while we’re out on the field with the prayer that people will donate and they will get fully funded before our deadline on January 15th. If people don’t donate and they don’t get all of their funds before that date, they will be sent home and won’t be able to continue with our squad.
Butttt that’s not going to happen because the Lord has called them each here for a purpose and He will be faithful to provide for them.
However, while I fully believe that the Lord is going to provide, that doesn’t mean that money is going to magically appear in their bank accounts. The Lord gives us what we need but He uses obedient people to do that.
With that being said, I want to invite you to financially and prayerfully partner with my teammates so that they can stay on the mission field and keep loving people and spreading the gospel to the nations.
So without further ado, I’ll introduce you to my awesome teammates who still need your help along with the links to their blogs so that you can donate!
Hailey Cole
https://haileycole.theworldrace.org/
Hailey is a woman of compassion. She is one of the sweetest people I know. She’s a feeler. She has the gift of discernment. She’s a great listener and a great person to go to when you need to navigate what you’re feeling or process through emotions. She sees the one person, the one left out or forgotten, and she seeks them out and loves them well. For the last 3 months she’s been loving on and teaching preschool-2nd grade here in Guatemala.
Bethany Clark
https://bethanyclark.theworldrace.org
Bethany is a woman of kindness. She has a huge heart and makes everyone around her feel welcome. She is always herself and her presence invites other people to be theirselves as well. She loves kids and is so good with them, I once saw a screaming baby immediately stop crying when she started holding her. She’s that good. Bethany is always a woman of joy, no matter her circumstances or what she’s going through, and she loves people so well just by her peaceful and kind spirit. For the last 3 months she has also been teaching and loving on preschool through 2nd grade along with Hailey!
Elli Gerber
https://elligerber.theworldrace.org/
Elli is a woman of wisdom. She is so intimate with the Lord and hears from Him so clearly. She has the gift of prophecy, which sounds weird but just means that the Lord has blessed her with the ability to see people as who they are in Him, not necessarily as who they are walking as in that moment. It amazes me how clearly she hears His voice and is able to speak boldly over other peoples lives. She leads our team in speaking words of life over us and giving good feedback and for the last 3 months she’s been bravely teaching and loving on the older boy’s class as well as translating Spanish for us with lots and lots of patience. 🙂
Each of these girls are so precious to me and so close to my heart. They each have such a special place on this team and on this squad and in these countries. They’re diving deep and growing to look more like jesus and they’re loving people well and speaking truth boldly everywhere we go and I can’t wait to see what else the Lord has in store for them in the next 6 months.
So, here’s what you need to know if you want to be a part of what the Lord is doing through us and keep my teammates on the field:
- If you want to donate, you must go to the specific individual’s blog page and click the donate button. This will take you to a separate page where you can put in your information to make your donation. I’ve included the links to their blogs here, but you can also click on their picture to the left of the screen and it will take you there 🙂
- All the money that is donated on the individual’s blog will be accredited specifically to them and added to their individual fundraising goal.
- You can see their fundraising goal and how much they still need in order to reach that goal at the top of their blog page.
- Because adventures in missions is a non-profit organization, all donations are tax deductible and non refundable.
- Fundraised money is used for transportation costs, food, housing, and other necessities.
- There are two ways to give: through either monthly or one-time donations. Either is great, but keep in mind that they only have 2 short months to fundraise the rest of their money so that doesn’t give you much time for monthly.
I’m so thankful for such an amazing community of Christians at home who love missions and love to mobilize missionaries. Thank you all for your continued support and prayers! Please spend some time with the Lord this week in prayer over giving to support these women this Christmas season so that we can keep spreading the good news about Jesus that Christmas is all about.
All my love,
Alley
