The summer is flying by already, and Training Camp is just 2 and a half weeks away!! I’m so excited to finally meet my team!
I want to take a minute to update you all on how faithful the Lord has been in my life as I’m preparing for the World Race….
First of all, I have pretty much all the gear I need, thanks to a friend who is letting me use her tent, backpack, sleeping bag, and so many other things. This is a HUGE blessing to not have to research and buy my own gear!!!!
Secondly, I was able to speak at my church 2 weeks ago, which is a big step for me to get up in front of so many people… but God gave me courage and I did it!
Last Sunday I had a bake sale at church, and raised $1,466! WOW!!! I am overwhelmed by the support of my family, friends, and church family; I had more than enough baked goods, thanks to the many friends who made desserts for my sale, and I raised more than I ever thought possible from a simple bake sale!
So….. I was worried about finances, BUT GOD IS FAITHFUL TO PROVIDE!!! The Lord told me He would, and He is. Why did I ever doubt?
Here’s an update on where I am financially:
Support raised + my own money I’m putting toward this trip: $11,000
Still need to raise: approx. $5,000
(the blue fundraising bar at the top of this page is not completely updated because several donations have not been fully processed yet, and also I am still working and saving a few thousand dollars of my own money which I will donate at a later time)
I am so overwhelmed by the money that is pouring in, and how many people are donating and supporting me!! When I started fundraising, it seemed so impossible, but God has shown me otherwise. Now to be down to $5,000 until I’m fully funded…. it’s incredible!
Thank you so much to everyone who has already given, and everyone who is praying – it really is making a difference!!! Yesterday at work, I had the opportunity to tell one of my co-workers about the World Race, and she sat down and wrote me a check for $100 right then and there. I didn’t know how to respond! God is providing in ways I never imagined!!

My next deadline is to have $10,000 in my account by the middle of August, which is totally possible! I’m not required to be fully funded until the end of 2015, but it would be absolutely amazing if I could have all my money in by the time I leave in September and not have to worry about it while I’m overseas.
